Downtown Fort Myers/River District
Historic downtown is full of amazing places to take photographs. Also known as the River District, the many colorful buildings and sunsets along the River Walk make for great photos!
Sanibel Island and Lighthouse
With plentiful stretches of pristine sand and abundant shells, breathtaking sunsets and beautiful azure water, the Sanibel Lighthouse, 6,000 acre mangrove jungle and wildlife refuge, Sanibel Island offers endless opportunities for amazing photographs.
Port Boca Grande Lighthouse
This is one of just six lighthouses in Florida open to the public, is home to a museum filled with Gasparilla Island history, and is part of Gasparilla Island State Park. There are abundant opportunities for gorgeous photos here, particularly at sunset.
Cayo Costa State Park
This unique island protects the Charlotte Harbor Estuary, and features nine miles of untouched beaches accessible only by boat or kayak. This remote secluded barrier island is a subtropical wilderness with rich history and abundant wildlife.
Captiva & Turner Beach
Captiva Drive is a scenic drive past tropical flora along a stretch of sea ending in Captiva Village. Captiva Island is just over a small bridge which crosses at Turner Beach. This is a great spot for shelling and fishing, featuring a rock jetty projecting over the clear water. So many opportunities here for magnificent sunsets and stunning nature photographs.
Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve
The Preserve is over 3,500 acres of wetland and upland ecosystems with a boardwalk trail featuring otters, alligators, wading and migrating birds, turtles and more. Gorgeous shots of flora and fauna with spectacular filtered light and backgrounds for your photographs.
Edison and Ford Winter Estates
The estates contain a museum and 21-acre botanical garden adjacent to the winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, beside the Caloosahatchee River. One of the most visited historic home sites in America, there are so many amazing photo opportunities here!
Lakes Regional Park/The Fragrance Garden
Lakes Regional Park contains 279 acres with 158 acres of man-made freshwater lakes. The Fragrance Garden presents opportunities for inspiration and appreciation for nature, as well as stunning backgrounds for photographs.
Manatee Park
In this unique park, you can view Florida Manatees in their natural environment. Viewing areas and picnic shelters, trails, native plants and butterfly gardens, as well as the Orange River provide one-of-a-kind photographs.
Lovers Key State Park
Featuring an untarnished 2-mile stretch of beach, this collection of barrier islands has become a romantic destination for engagement photography and spectacular beachside weddings. Explore trails, serene canals and lagoons to see secluded estuaries full of wildlife. Lovers Key State Park is full of incredible vistas and backdrops for your incredible photographs!
